Open to roles in medical device design

I’m Queralt, a biomedical engineer who turns clinical problems into working prototypes, from wearables and biosensors to surgical tools and implants.

Let’s talk

A little context

Engineer by training.
Maker by habit.

Queralt Piferrer Grau

I turn clinical problems into working prototypes.

I’m a Master’s student in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Twente, specializing in Medical Device Design. I’m passionate about using technology to advance healthcare through wearable medical devices, biosensors, soft robotics and implantable devices.

I’m currently working on my Master’s thesis, building a soft robotic heart driven by electroactive actuators. Before that, I conducted research at Harvard’s Biodesign Lab on the mechanisms of upper-limb motor impairments after stroke.

Along the way I’ve worked through the complete product development cycle, from a wearable biosensor for acute kidney injury to a meniscus grasper and a rib fixation device, and I enjoy leading a team as much as the bench work.
